Keeping a journal

Journals are very powerful tools. Journaling helps to connect with yourself and aids in both self-growth and spiritual growth.

Ways You Can Use Your Journal:
• Write down what you are grateful for in your life right now. It can be anything, such as your bed!
• Write down affirmations (ex: I love and approve of myself).
• Keep your journal next to your bed at night and write down/record your dreams.
There is no right or wrong way to journal, do what works for you and use your journal as a tool to assist you on your spiritual journey.

Note: Be careful of using journaling only for the purpose of ranting without true self-analysis.

Mornings and nights are a great time to journal. Try to take 5-10 minutes in the morning, before you start your day, to write in your journal what you are grateful for, write affirmations, your intentions for the day ahead, etc. At night, try to journal before bed again what you are grateful for, affirmations, etc.

Tip:
• A helpful way to get into the right mindset to journal, is to meditate or use breathing exercises before journaling. Try to meditate for 5-10 minutes or do some deep breathing exercises before you start to journal.
